Awesome review. I have been an iPhone user for sometime, when I have messed with friends android phones I have been amazed. They have really jumped forward. The camera features on the Galaxy are great to have. If you are going to carry a camera in your pocket, it might as well be a good one. Thanks again!

Now, now.... no political commentary permitted. :-)

I think your reasoning and preference make sense. Perfectly logical.

Thanks for your kind words. As to your question, I must say that my preference is for lines starting from the bottom left and headed towards top right. Why from the bottom instead of the top, as in reading text? Perhaps because I want to walk into the scene and the bottom is almost invariably the closest. BTW, wanting to go from left towards the right in no way represents my political bias;-)

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. That's a great point, Roger! It's one I was going to discuss later in the series. Conversely, how comfortable are you with lines that go in the opposite direction?

Really like the work in your PBase galleries. Particularly interested in your treatment of Notre Dame as I always like seeing how other photographers approach subjects and places I've done as well. The Mono Lake reflection images are also very striking.

Your "Leading Line/Falling Over" examples are particularly effective. In western cultures we are typically more comfortable with implied movements going from left to right. I am very curious as to how other cultures (those more comfortable with right to left movements) would interpret your examples.

Hello, Asim. Thanks for reading and posting. Assuming your comment is genuine, yes I did. Perhaps you could tell me what you disagree with and I'll try to explain my thinking for you.

Hey Chris. Yeah, there's a lot of information in those RAW files. Even the JPEG on the beach rocks shot is better than the original. Just not quite as good as the RAW. The ability to recover highlights is tremendous. Thanks for reading and for the retweet.

That is crazy how much more info you got out of those rocks. I also like how much more of the sky is recovered in the landscape shot. Great, and informative, post.
